 The main focus of our practice is on preventative medicine. While we offer a full range of comprehensive treatment options; our ideal is to avoid intensive and sometimes costly treatments by preventing problems before they start. 

Our modern surgical suite is equipped to handle a broad range of procedures with precision and care. We routinely perform soft‑tissue surgeries such as spays, neuters, and mass removals.  We also frequently collect tissue biopsies for pathologist review, an important step that helps inform both medical and surgical treatment plans.

 Studies show that over 80% of dogs and cats over the age of four suffer from periodontal disease which is where plaque and bacteria from around the gum line cause pain and inflammation and weaken the connection between the tooth and the gums.  Not only does periodontal disease cause bad breath but it can lead to tartar build up, pain, lost teeth, and over time can lead to disease in the liver, kidneys, heart and lungs.  

 Laser therapy is a non-invasive treatment designed to reduce pain and inflammation while also speeding up the healing process. This treatment is quickly be-coming standard of care in both human and veterinary medicine. 

 The therapeutic infrared light targets the mitochondria in damaged cells and stimulates them to regenerate and stimulates them to return to optimal function. This regenerative process is called photobio-modulation (PBM). PBM does not impact normal cells but can help damaged cells to recover from injury faster. 

 At Alpine Animal Hospital, we know your pets are family—and losing a pet is one of the most heartbreaking experiences a pet owner can face. That’s why we strongly recommend micro-chipping for both dogs and cats. This small, permanent form of identification dramatically increases the chances of being reunited with your pet if they’re ever lost or separated from you.
